John H. McCall MacBain is a Director of the McCall MacBain Foundation. Previously, John McCall MacBain was the Founder, President and CEO of Trader Classified Media, the world's leading company in the classified advertising sector, which was sold in 2006 for more than $2 billion. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer since the inception of the business in 1987. He is a Rhodes Scholar and received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, an M.A. in Law from Oxford University and a BA in Economics from McGill University. He holds an honorary degree from Dalhousie University. John McCall MacBain is the Chairman of the European Climate Foundation and on the Advisory Board for the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy. He is a Trustee of the Rhodes Trust in Oxford and the Mandela Rhodes Foundation in Cape Town. John McCall MacBain is also a long-time member of the World Economic Forum. In addition, he is on the Executive Committee of the McGill Campaign as well as actively participating in many charitable activities. He is fluent in French and English with a working knowledge of Spanish. He is an avid skier, ice hockey player, has completed four marathons and is a commercial land and seaplane pilot.
