Jean-Francois Ducrest is a Director and Legal Advisor to the McCall MacBain Foundation. He is also a Partner of the Geneva-based Law firm Borel & Barbey since 2003. Jean-François Ducrest obtained his Law degree at the Law School of the University of Fribourg in 1981 and obtained his bar in 1985. After 4 years of attorney practice, Jean-François Ducrest attended a post grade program in the United States where he obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M) in 1990 at Duke University School of Law. After this academical step, Jean-François Ducrest worked for one year as a foreign associate at Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison in New York before returning to Geneva.

Jean-François Ducrest is member of the Geneva Bar Association. He was Chairman of the Geneva Young Bar Association from 1994 to 1996. He was elected member of the Board of the Geneva Bar Association in 2004 and he was Chairman from 2008 to 2010. He is involved with various non-profit organizations in Geneva.
