Marcy McCall MacBain is the Executive Director of the McCall MacBain Foundation and Chair of the Board. She is Canadian and was born in rural Ontario. After receiving an Honours Bachelor degree in Kinesiology from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, she received a diploma in Health Promotion from Centennial College, Toronto and MSc in International Health Policy from the London School of Economics, England. Marcy McCall MacBain worked extensively in physical and brain injury rehabilitation in Toronto and Vancouver, Canada until moving to Europe in 2002. A consultant at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland in 2005, she researched effective school food policies to prevent obesity and other chronic diseases. As a co-founder of the Geneva based McCall MacBain Foundation, she has led the mission and strategy of the organization’s operations since January 2007. Marcy’s particular areas of interest include preventative care for maternal and mental health, issues for equitable access to education and strategies to strengthen rural communities. She speaks French and English, studying Spanish.
